Needle in a Haystack

In times of green sources, renewable energy, climate crisis, and all out self righteous causes for concern, people should take note that the extent of their existence is not determined by themselves. We have been on this planet only for 1/4600th of earth time; +4.6 billion plus. in that range, the earth's entire being has changed dramatically, sometimes violently, many, many times over.... and far beyond human understanding. One of my favorite times in earth history is the carboniferous era(286 million years ago), where six foot spiders and insects, and some reptiles ruled and mammals simply tried to survive. This was a far cry from our world today, on the same planet. Violent electric storms caused by this concentrated heat and chemical content in the air consistently tormented the swamp forests that covered a more equilateral North America. I Think of this everytime I hear of carbon levels rising due to fossil fuel consumption, which is true, yet mentioned for the most selfish of reasons. People simply want to maintain their way of life in places as beautiful as my home, New York, that will likely be affected as waters rise with the heat. During much of 'prehistory', the land masses were ~30% missing thanks to submersion in water due to lack of much, if any polar ice. The earth is changing, and people will be able to change with it. Part of that adjustment is going to be a population check. Nature controls all. When things get out of hand, or even if things are divine, the earth has a way of flushing itself out. Believe it or not, people, as a species, are not in control of their own destiny. We have been here only a short time and it looks that we have created our own recipe for... well only really societal disaster. As far as the earth's concerned, its nothing new, infact this is one of the most temperate eras in earth's entire history. This is an anomaly, not 'global warming'. The earth is more diverse the hotter it gets. Just look at any tropical rainforest. beautiful. Humans are the anomaly. The value of human life is merely an illusion. Dinosaurs flourished for 185 million years, 1850 times our total existence, the amount of our entire evolutionary process, or 100,000 years. Please believe that some of those organisms were highly evolved, and highly intelligent. Their speech patterns, decision making and problem solving were on par, and in the opinion of the author, more sophisticated than human logic. Because humans are the product of their own tragic flaw. We are too smart. Humans think too much. Instinctual predators such as velociraptors and such actually had true beauty, balance, in their existence. Why? Because they lived in harmony with nature. There was a race of people who in my biased opinion lived the ultimate life of sustenance and balance on this very soil before the euros. But, they were wiped out by a more 'human' civilization that only a hundred years later (remember 100 is a sixty millionth of earth time... nothing) is confused, crying and self destructing and ruled by a monopoly... slavery is kickin harder than ever.. i guess thats coo. Democracy is dead, but Obama still doin his thing.. thats wassup.... aannyway..Basically, enjoy your life, do whatever you want, because no matter what any uber liberal fucker tells you, your footprint is going pretty much unnoticed by the earth, as long as your not out there eating endangered turtles eggs or shooting one of the last 600 wild gorillas or something. Besides, an asteroid might hit the earth in 2028 anyways and cleanup you mess for you, while wiping the slate clean for a good millennia. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/64871.stm Start over with an ice age and it all keeps going... hopefully with more intuitive beings next time. Just don't give me any of that 'let's save the earth' stuff, because the earth is so beautiful that people don't even understand it is a power in it's own right far, far beyond their comprehension. this is real science. the more you know, the less. let go... meditate or something and just be. the earth will love you for it. One Love.

yea, the picture of that dude and the prehistoric fish is SCIENCE FIC.... haha. that fool would get straight served up w A1
