The Teenagers - French Kiss

Natanz

Pictures, words, and sounds: Driving human thought heavenward for millenia.

Just got the new cd Reality Check by The Teenagers a french pop band (thanks for the heads up JJones). Yes, the tone of the songs can be a bit redundant, but the album greets listeners with cynical cheer, drawing influence from the youthful & neon-colored American culture of the 90s. If you want to reminisce to an upbeat step about Reebok Pumps, Heroin Chic, and BevHills90210, this album is all you. Catch me @ Union Square with 'the teens' slappin in my headphones

Heres a link to the Pitchfork Media review of the album . I give personal promise that the songs are NY summertime 2k8 appropo. indeed.

The Teenagers are having a show @ the Music Hall of Williamsburg (Brooklyn) on the 3rd of May. Come push and shove!

“I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.”
