I just found out about these ill Gerhard Richter overpainted photographs.....
Saw them in the December issue of Rodeo Magazine . The man has created such a prolific array of art- and to think- he has done it all by himself- how preposterous in the bloated 2009 artworld!!!
Anyhow- check this work out by way of www.gerhard-richter.com (which is, by the way, the most complete artists' website I have every stumbled across.
p.s - To all those music savvy readers- I just caught wind of this AMAZING cd "For Emma, Forever Ago" by Bon Iver. Apparently the man broke down, moved to the woods, and wrote the whole damn thing. Beautiful. Seriously. Cop this.
